How hot is it today?

It's been so hot recently in some areas in Nigeria and sometimes the temperature even gets to 34 to 35 degrees. This is mostly because we've not had an actual rainfall in over 4 months.

This season is called the dry season.

Where the air is hot and windy and you hardly get any form of rain. The harmattan season ended sometimes in January, and inasmuch everyone knows that it's always dry and hot at this time of the year, no one actually predicted that it'll get this hot.

I have an AC unit at home, but electricity issues is currently a problem, and most times we need external air solutions or fans that uses cell batteries.

Personally I don't do so well under hot situations, and because of this I cannot move as much. The heat is worse at night because you don't even get air and sometimes we sweat through the night. The electricity is bad because of some shady embezzlement that involved the government..

Living in the big city

I took out my phone this afternoon, opened up my laptop to check when actual temperature of the day and I got it at 34 degrees and has gotten as high as 39 degrees in 2026. Then I took a few shots and read the analysis.

Places like Lagos are the hottest because you barely see trees planted anywhere. The landlord are selling every space of land to the highest bidders which means trees are being cut, commercial centers are being built and no more spaces for trees and wildlife.

The last time I actually saw a snake was over 20 years ago, and now they're probably all dead or gone because there are no habitats. All we have are rats and mice.

There are basically other hot places, but I think the lack of trees, the air pollution and the giant metal factories and companies will continue to radiate the heat. I guess this is the consequences of living in areas where there are industries as well. You're affected by the heat as well as rain.

Some pictures of the Sun

Well I decided to take a few pictures of what the sun looks like. I even took a zoom shot of the sun, it was so hot I couldn't focus my camera properly. Although I managed to take a x30 zoom shot of the sun. Took some others at X10 as well.

Perhaps someday I'll take some shots on a moon day. Unfortunately you cannot measure how hot it gets simply by taking a look at the shots, but if course that's why I decided to check the official temperature so you can see how hot it gets.

I'd probably be walking with an oxygen tank because it's hard to breath in this weather condition. You're breathing air so hot it dehydrates you from within and leaves you needing water at all time.

Is it hot or cold where you are?
