The American company Shield AI presented in Washington the X-Bat, a Group 5 unmanned VTOL stealth jet designed to operate without a runway, launch, recover from a mobile trailer and execute missions in environments with degraded communications.
The aircraft combines a tailless flying wing architecture, folding wings for rapid transport and an internal compartment for weapons, the conceptual images videos show AIM-120 and similar missiles, allowing it to fulfill ISR attack, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance and electronic warfare tasks.
