It could replace the international space station with others where, in addition to scientific research, various activities such as space tourism are carried out.

To this end, NASA announced that it has signed agreements with three US companies to develop designs for space stations and other commercial destinations in space, the agreements are part of the agency's efforts to enable a strong US-led commercial economy. in low earth orbit which is the new frontier.

The total age awarded is 415 6 million dollars, among the companies is the well-known Blue Origin that a few months ago presented its space station project called Orbital Reef, a mix between a scientific laboratory station for private companies and space tourism. NASA expects the new facilities to be ready in 2028, which will mark the end of what until now we have known as the international space station.
