My fly traps have been busy eating bugs and getting tons of rain!

All this rain has been good to them
Above is the full grown venus fly trap. She has fully shed her old leaves and began to grow all new heads in the middle. Next up is the babies!

This is the progress on the baby venus fly trap and the baby pitcher plant. They have been very very slowly developing. These types of plants rely on specific water. IT NEEDS TO BE EITHER DISTILLED OR RAIN WATER.
The reason why is the plants need a lack of minerals in the water source. Our tap water has minerals in it. These plants gain their minerals from eating bugs. Therefore they can be poisoned by tap water.
Last up is the teenage plant.

Look how healthy the mouths are coming in. If you follow my previous blogs you can see the progress and time that it takes to care for these types of plants.
