Now let me take you on a trip to the Splatts house for a little breakfast sandwich with a kick. It might look like just your average everyday run of the mill Bacon egg and cheese breakfast sandwich. I hate to give away my culinary secrets but my Food Fight Friday Family always gets the inside scoop.

As most of you know we have a few ducks running around the Splatts house. Therefore we get 4 big fresh duck eggs every morning. Swoop a couple of big ol’ eggs out of the fridge, this sandwich is going to need them.

Oh Yeah, look at the color and size of those Yokes!!!

The bacon was already cooked, because Mama-Splatts made the kids bacon and eggs before school. Which she does almost every morning. Sorry my bacon fans, no bacon sizzlin’ GIFs this time. Well a Splatts original anyway. I hope this will do.

Now I just need to get the bread and cheese figured out....Hmmmm That’s it!! I’m rolling with the Hemp Seed Bread this go around. Mama-Splatts just found this at the store the other day and I think it is pretty tasty.

That’s a couple slices of this in the toaster and crisp them up just a bit. To me over toasted bread on a breakfast sandwich in a big No No It needs to maintain a little softness when you go tearing into it Food Fight Friday Style.

Cheese...now this is where things get a little interesting. Chedder, Swiss, pepperjack, blah blah blah You guys know me, I don’t do things in a way most would call “Normal” and this is no exception. We have a really small local daisy that produces cheese. All kinds of cheese!!! These little guys caught my eye when I was at Andy’s Market the other day.

Did you notice the fine print? These aren’t just any cheese curds, these are infused with Habeneros!!! Oooohhh Doggy, these bad boys pack a nice little punch of heat at the end. I did manage to get my kids to eat one and they both said the same thing,

“What the heck!!”

I’m going to lay a few of these on them big ol’ duck Eggs and let those habanero cheese curds melt Into some gooey goodness.

Toast is popped up, cheese melted, bacon just sitting there waiting to satisfy any BaconFanatic’s craving. It’s build time!!

Something is really weird about this picture??? I haven’t been able to put my finger on it for sometime now. Then it finally came to me....the bacon is on the bottom!!! Plus it looks like it is non-existent, which is completely false. You peeps know me and my bacon, I always load it up! This wasn’t a typical Splatts load of bacon but it ain’t skimpy stack either. It’s all that was left on the plate after the family tore into the pile.

I tell you what, the Duck egg is far superior to the chicken egg in my mind!! Hey people, don’t knock it until you try it.
