Something strange happened to me today: I woke up as usual around 5:00 AM, completed my routine of feeding my pets, drinking coffee, and things like that. Then, after a while, I grabbed my camera and told my wife I was going for a walk and taking pictures. After all, today is a holiday here (Mardi Gras Tuesday), and there were no deliveries to make or clients to attend to. So I did just that. I went out into the streets, walked just a few blocks, and felt like I didn't understand the layout of the town. It was a kind of mental block, something I don't remember ever experiencing so intensely before. So I went home without any photos, and I went back in silence. When my wife asked why I had returned so quickly, I simply gave her a lame excuse and went straight to my studio to sit in front of my PC and review my photo files. And that's how I built this series, which I'm sharing with you here on #Hive... And I've called it "BREAKUPS" precisely because today I felt distant enough from my streets to call it that...

Hoy me ha sucedido algo extraño: Desperté como siempre cerca de las 5:00 AM, completé mi rutina de dar de comer a mis mascotas, beber café y cosas así. Luego, al rato, tomé mi cámara y le dije a mi esposa que iría a caminar un poco y hacer fotos. Después de todo, hoy es día feriado aquí (Martes de Carnavales) y no habían entregas por hacer ni clientes que atender. E hice eso, salí a las calles, y caminé apenas un puñado de calles y sentí que no entendía los espacios del pueblo. Fue una especie de bloqueo, algo que no recuerdo me halla pasado antes de manera tan intensa. Entonces volví a casa sin ninguna foto, y volví en silencio, y cuando mi esposa preguntó porqué yo había vuelto tan rápido, simplemente le di una excusa vana y me dirigí directo a mi estudio a sentarme en frente de mi PC y a revisar mis archivos fotográficos, y así construí esta serie la cual comparto con ustedes huy aquí en #Hive... Y he llamado a esto "RUPTURAS" precisamente porque hoy sentí lo suficientemente distante de mis calles, como para llamar esto así...

They were then exported to JGP format on which minor modifications such as straightening and adding watermarks were carried out using PhotoScape v3.7}
