AskLEO: Would you have sold?

Throwing out a question for the LeoFinance community today.

In this post I am referring to Cryptopunk #6046 which yesterday received an eye-watering offer of 2500 ETH ($9.5 million). The owner of this NFT declined the offer. Here is his Tweet thread explaining why.

Something worth noting is that the owner bought this particular Punk 7 months age for 45 ETH. So that is around 55X in 7 months.

The owner said that he has built a brand image around that punk:

Over past 6 months I have used 6046 as my identity and have built up a significant brand around it.

Because I value my personal brand and identity, this was an easy rejection for me.

So, pretty simple question for the Leo community today...

Would you have sold?

If yes why? What would you do with 2500 ETH?

If no, why?

Personally, i say abso-f***ing-lutely I would have sold, without a moments hesitation. However, if my life was different, and $9.5 mill was not a significant amount of money, as it probably isn't for many crypto O.G.s, then maybe I would have to think about it. But in my current situation, I would sell for sure. (To be honest I probably would have sold out a while ago, before it had a chance to reach such a crazy price)

If anyone wants to offer me 2500 ETH for my Sexy looking Dropbear NFT, feel free to make that offer. Here he is in all his practically worthless glory:
