What did I learn today? (P1)

Philosophy:
An argument consists of assumptions and a conclusion.
Assumptions can either be true or false.
There are two types of arguments: deductive and inductive arguments

A deductive argument:

  1. All humans are mortal.
  2. Sokrates was human.
  3. Conclusion: Sokrates was mortal.
Based on the assumptions made, there is no possible way for the conclusion to be false.

An inductive argument:

  1. I saw ten swans today.
  2. All of these ten swans were white.
  3. Conclusion: All swans are white.
The assumptions support the conclusion, but the conclusion could be either true or false.
