Hive Open Mic Week #152 || Traditional Music || This is the day Cover || [Eng/Esp]

Hello Hive Open week #152, my name is Hive account@jesus-son and I come here with my entry for the weekly event of the community.

In this week, we are to reflect and produce around the theme 'traditional music' chosen by our recent spotlight artiste Hive account@bertrayo. I wrote to him recently commending him for the good theme and he said his aim is to make for an opportunity for us to bring musics from our cultures and traditions out here for everyone to enjoy and I really love that idea.

It is a topic that one does not need to search too deeply to arrive at a song to present since we all have traditional songs which are very common to us. Thus, I didn't need to search so much for a song to present. I actually had a lot of songs in my head which I wanted to do but I decided to do the one I have here for reasons which I will highlight below.

For this entry, I will be doing a cover of a very popular song which has 0ver time become a traditional song in churches and any place of worship in Nigeria. It is titled 'This is the day'.

This is the day: is a song that describes the day as a day given by the Lord and as such we rejoice in it and praise the Lord for His gift of the day.

I am always glad whenever we sing this song in my church because of the harmony people add to it and when that happens, the whole church auditorium will be spirit filled as people sing with their minds and hearts. I thought of presenting this song in that spirit but I don't have the full choir to do so, so pardon me. But I did my best to add a harmonising voice, I just hope you enjoy with me.

From this song, dear friends, we are encouraged to be happy for any day we are opportuned to live. We should be grateful to God because it is a privilege and not a merited award. So many lives are lost on daily basis but you are not among them, it's only the grace of God that is leading you. Thus, join me and sing this song of praise and adoration to God.

hola Hive Open semana #152, mi nombre es Hive account@jesus-son y vengo aquí con mi entrada para el evento semanal de la comunidad.

En esta semana, vamos a reflexionar y producir en torno al tema 'música tradicional' elegido por nuestro reciente artista destacado Hive account@bertrayo. Le escribí recientemente felicitándolo por el buen tema y dijo que su objetivo es brindar una oportunidad para que traigamos música de nuestras culturas y tradiciones aquí para que todos disfruten y realmente me encanta esa idea.

Es un tema en el que no hace falta indagar demasiado para llegar a una canción a presentar ya que todos tenemos canciones tradicionales que nos son muy comunes. Por lo tanto, no necesité buscar tanto una canción para presentar. De hecho, tenía muchas canciones en mi cabeza que quería hacer, pero decidí hacer la que tengo aquí por las razones que destacaré a continuación.

Para esta entrada, haré una versión de una canción muy popular que con el tiempo se ha convertido en una canción tradicional en las iglesias y en cualquier lugar de culto en Nigeria. Se titula 'Este es el día'.

Este es el día: es un cántico que describe el día como un día dado por el Señor y como tal nos regocijamos en él y alabamos al Señor por Su regalo del día.

Siempre me alegra cada vez que cantamos esta canción en mi iglesia debido a la armonía que la gente le agrega y cuando eso suceda, todo el auditorio de la iglesia se llenará de espíritu mientras la gente canta con la mente y el corazón. Pensé en presentar esta canción con ese espíritu, pero no tengo el coro completo para hacerlo, así que perdónenme. Pero hice lo mejor que pude para agregar una voz armonizadora, solo espero que disfruten conmigo.

Desde esta canción, queridos amigos, se nos anima a ser felices por cualquier día que se nos presente la oportunidad de vivir. Debemos estar agradecidos con Dios porque es un privilegio y no un premio merecido. Se pierden tantas vidas a diario, pero tú no estás entre ellas, es solo la gracia de Dios la que te está guiando. Por lo tanto, únanse a mí y canten este canto de alabanza y adoración a Dios.
