👨🎓Scholarship👨🎓 👍 and ❌
Howdy fellow Splinterheads. Are you a new player looking for a scholarship account or an old-school player looking to help a newbie? Well, I hope I can give you some tips in this post. I have helped a few players get started on their Splinterlands journey over the years by delegating them my extra cards, giving them my posting keys, and even lending them my iPad. I wouldn't recommend the latter unless they are a very close friend or family member and even then, it's still probably not a good idea unless you don't care about your account that much or it has little value. Let's go over some dos and don'ts of Splinterlands scholarships...
Dos
Find someone that you can trust. Whether you are a scholar or a student, you don't want to get scammed, have your cards jacked, or have your time wasted so make sure the other person is good to go first.
Set clear terms and goals. Make sure you both are clear on the earnings percentages and durations. The whole point of being a scholar is to get others into the game so being greedy isn't exactly the best way to set a good impression of our community. If you want to exploit someone's time you're better off just using a bot service.
Make sure to keep in touch with each other. Most people in Splinterlands and Hive use Discord to communicate, but whatever you use, it's important to keep up to date with each other.
Use Guilds. Guilds are a great way to build a feeling of community and keep motivated to play. If you lose a ranked play battle, it's no big deal, but if you lose a Guild Brawl, you're letting your whole team down. If you're a new player and are active in Brawls your team will surely help you out with advice and even some extra cards.
Don'ts
Never ever ever, I mean ever, give anyone your active or master keys! These are your keys to your castle and should not be trusted by anyone else except you. If someone has your master keys, they own your account. You can have your master keys reset, but there's no guarantee that you can retrieve any stolen, burned, or exchanged assets that have been lost.
Don't rush into any agreements. Make sure both parties are a good match or things will end badly.
Set realistic expectations. You're not going to get rich quickly playing this game so if that's what you're looking for, you'll be disappointed as it takes years to build a powerful deck and become a whale.
