Forest Wednesday walk
I am the happiest person in the world when I have the privilege of walking in the forest. Living in a big city means breathing very harmful and polluted air every day. That's why I look forward to every trip to the mountain when I get the chance.
This is my entry for the #wednesdaywalk challenge, a wonderful initiative by @tattoodjay. Wednesday is a wonderful day, so let's take a walk together.
A few days ago I went on a short trip to the Zlatibor mountain. Zlatibor is an urban mountain and that's why I prefer Tara, which is 40 km away from Zlatibor. When I came to Tara mountain, I started to breathe. All around it smells of pine forest and various plants, many of which are suitable for tea and solving various health problems. You feel like a guest who has stepped into the home of nature and you have the responsibility not to spoil anything because everything is so perfect and harmonious.
Sometimes I get scared when I walk along a forest path where people rarely pass because there is a habitat of a brown bear, but I quickly calm down because I am overwhelmed by all the charms of untouched nature.
It has been raining these days, so you can find a lot of mushrooms. I think that these mushrooms that I photographed are only eaten once 😊, but on Tara mountain, you can find different types of edible mushrooms too.
I read somewhere a long time ago that on Tara the stones are especially beautiful and sparkling because they originate from the sea that many years ago spread over part of the territory of my country. And indeed, here you can find beautiful stones, suitable for decorating various objects.
While I was walking, I came across a snail. We didn't want to disturb him even though my son wanted to play with him. 😊 He is fine in his little house among wild strawberries.
My son found the moss interesting, it looked like a carpet to him. 😊
It was quiet and it was about to rain again. Only the crickets in the grass could be heard.
I noticed a beautiful lonely flower and when I got closer I saw that it was not so lonely. There was an ant inside. 😊
And then we came across rosehips.
My son sat in the meadow eating a sandwich while I stopped to pick rosehips and photograph them.
They are very healthy and we use them most often for tea and jam. I love these gifts of nature.
We also saw wild apples on the road, but very high.
In the end, we had a sweet forest refreshment. We picked wild blackberries which are very very sweet. You can't eat just one, so we picked up a lot and took it home as well.
Thank you very much for reading and I hope you enjoyed the forest walk with me.
The images and writing are original and mine.
Greetings!
Jelena
