Flashback Friday - Montana
Yesterday Lorraine tweeted about Montana which immediately brought back my time there.
My very first hydro project, and my first project in Montana was at Mystic Lake, MT.
This is what it looks like from the sky
The penstock (big pipe) ran from the lake to the powerhouse along the side of the mountain, about 3.5km, and then dropped into the powerhouse.

I didn't get up to the actual lake on my trips out there, but we did ride a sketchy tram up to where the penstock goes down to the powerhouse.
I have a lot of fond memories of my time in and around this project. We staying in the tiny town of Fishtail at Lena's Cabins.
