Life painting

Hi guys!
And i hope we are all having a great weekend!
Here’s the finished piece from the life painting session, which i said i will be posting in my next posts…
This piece painted from life, is an iconic piece of one of FELA ANIKULAPO KUTI ‘S drummer known as “SHOWBOY”. Currently, the old man only had one eye but i wish for him the second eye which is why i painted him seeing with the two eyes. for the story behind the eyes, I guess that’s for another day.

CREATIVE PROCESS:

Created with oil on canvas, started with my careful sketch to the under painting with monochrome method… afterwards, when the under painting is dried, i started painting the skin color and building more tone on it till the finished piece.
