Daily Brunch 2
Researchers at the Francis Crick Institute conducted experiments on mice which showed that, when fed with a diet rich in I3C, they developed fewer tumors which were also benign. It is often believed that colon cancer is a result of a diet poor in vegetables. Upon consuming vegetables of the Brassica genus, the AhR stimulation that ensues will offer resistance to intestinal infections and prevent colon cancer. The results add to the evidence that a healthy diet, rich in vegetables, is important.
