A Simple Christmas Celebration
28 December 2024
Christmas is always a special day, regardless of how it is celebrated. It is a time of joy, unity, and love. We celebrated this year by gathering around the table and enjoying every shared moment with my family. It was just a simple one.
And since I had to work at midnight, we decided to celebrate it before eleven. Then, I welcomed Christmas by working on my desktop.
We had a few dishes on the table. My favorite among the dishes was my mom's spaghetti and my own-made mango float cake. It's my favorite Filipino dessert, and I missed making it when I was in Hong Kong. I made sure to make two tubs so I could still eat some the next day.
My brother roasted a whole duck and a chicken. Quite burnt, but they tasted good.
The night was less lively because my niece Breiana wasn't with us. She spent her Christmas with her father's family. However, my two other nieces visited us home and decided to spend their Christmas with us. They occupied Breiana's temporary absence.
The next day, on the 25th, I spent the day sleeping, and I woke up in the afternoon. So I missed giving presents and goodies to kids and random visitors. My older brother's family visited us. We were supposed to have a Christmas party, but since we were incomplete, we postponed it to New Year, along with my mother's clan Christmas party. The more, the merrier.
Breiana was home on the 26th, and she was excited to open her gift. I think she can be the first doctor in the family ☺️.
Advance Happy New Year, everyone!
