Fictional brand mock up experment and creativity flex
Hi Design Freinds,
This conceptual brand identity project started as a creative experiment, dreaming up an imaginary super-premium spirit that blended gin's beloved botanical bite with exotic yet approachable flavors; however, 0 Proff! WooTT!.
I envisioned Zegroni manifesting as a designer non-alcoholic gin targeted towards sophisticated mocktail crafting and flavor complexity without compromising on intensity or satisfaction for refined palettes. Using Adobe Illustrator, I developed the name, typography, logo shape, graphic motifs, color palette, taglines, and core visual identity to encapsulate this product concept and premium market positioning.
The Zegroni name itself - blending Italian cocktail tradition with international infusions - inspired dual vintage and contemporary brand aesthetic directions. The logo wordmark combines strong angular serifs with more fluid, delicate secondary curves and lines in the glyph details. This dynamic logo encapsulates the layered complexity I want perceived in Zegroni’s envisioned flavor profile.
I also added “Zero Proof Spirit” in a flowing, but now I look perhaps too small of a font. This hints at Zegroni’s status as a non-alcoholic product looking to disrupt consumer gin expectations through innovative distillation alchemy.
Within Adobe Photoshop, I mocked up a possible Art Deco-inspired bottle design combining clear glass and metallic copper foil on the inside. This further elevates Zegroni to feel refined, rooted in classic apothecary tradition, and something special to gift or display. I then composited these core logo, title, tagline, and bottle visuals together with additional graphic elements into a cohesive brand mock up add.
This fictional brand design process was a rewarding way to flex my creativity. And I have additional ideas to develop lifestyle imagery, bottle variations, flavor descriptions, and more if I build out the Zegroni gin concept moving forward. I’m also open to discuss how this experimental branding could become reality through production partnerships.
But for now, I welcome any feedback on the Zegroni name, logo, color palette, and label layout from this first brand identity concept phase. Please share your objective thoughts!
