Most crypto-currency and blockchain projects which is currently rolling out is what we consider infrastructure projects. These projects are focusing on bringing solutions to either create or enhance the infrastructure of the global blockchains out there.

This is the obviously the logical thing to do as we need to create a cryptocurrency and blockchain infrastructure, which can support and service billions of users at a satisfactory usage levels.

What do I consider infrastructure projects?

I am sure there are many categories of various infrastructure projects to but in my opinion these projects are everything ranging from actual new Blockchains like EOS, Steem, Tron, Ethereum and many others to Crypto exchanges like Binance, Bittrex, Poloniex and Cryptopia.

This post is not to explain what infrastructure projects are, but more about why in my opinion these projects will not necessarily ensure mass adoption in the main stream non-crypto environment.

Why do I believe it will be a DAPP that ensures mass adoption?

In my opinion, people using a DAPP, don't necessarily need to understand that they are using a Blockchain with Crypto currency linked to it. let's look at Steemit, which is a DAPP on the Steem Blockchain. Why do people need to know that they are using a Blockchain or crypto currency. All that is needed to be known is that you are paid for content which you write and publish on a platform.

Steemit did very well to introduce the platform to many new entrants into the crypto space. People that would never had known about blockchains and crypto currency is now successfully using the platform to earn crypto, use exchanges to sell for Bitcoin and then pay the money to their FIAT accounts. This is a massive win for the crypto industry.

I thoroughly believe that there is a solid use case for a DAPP out there, that will enter the market and bring more non-crypto users into the industry. Not all people are good content writers or content producers, which means they they not necessarily write content and post it on steemit.

The infrastructure projects must and always be the beginning of a platform, but in my opinion, it is not a crypto infrastructure project that will ensure mass adoption, but a DAPP with a solid use case, which first targets many people in the world, and then expand the use case to target a wider variety of people.
