
I like the idea, but solar in the concrete canyons may not be very efficient unless perhaps it's a more equatorial location than where I live. I have been to the prototype of the original SOLAR FREAKIN' ROADWAYS, and it was underwhelming. On the other hand, there are already thin film solar options suitable for windows, acting as both tint and power source. Rooftop solar should be more common than it is, for sure, and could be implemented in more suburban parking lots at least along the periphery as shade and supplemental power for strip mall dystopia.
