Ignore Sneak, Use Magic

Hello Jabeelievers and Jabashers!

Here we are again with another installment of Battle Mage Secrets. This time, we are going to feature (or un-feature) Super Sneak. Let us first revisit what the ruleset means and then showcase a battle with the strategy we have in mind - Ignore Sneak, Use Magic.

Super Sneak Ruleset

Super Sneak ruleset gives all melee monsters with the Sneak ability. This will allow melee monsters to attack the enemy unit positioned at the back. Of course there are some exceptions. Sneak monsters will always target Taunt monsters regardless of position and monsters with Camouflage cannot be targeted unless it is in the first position.

Please also note that certain interactions are affected when Super Sneak is paired with other Targeting rulesets like Equal Opportunity and Target Practice. Refer to Splinterlands' Rules of Precedence for guidance.

Use Magic Monsters Instead of Melee

Now for the strategy part. Usually, players use melee in this kind of ruleset. I mean, what not right? It will make melee units attack wherever position they are. Some will opt for high melee attack or high speed melee units. As for a defensive deck, players opt to use units with Thorns, Shield or Dodge. Some will even use Protect to fortify their team with armor.

It is in this particular reason that I propose to use magic units instead of melee. Magic attacks go through armor. Magic units can't even be damaged by Thorns or get to miss because of Dodge.

Actual Battle

In this battle the rulesets are:

As you can see I opted for a magic team with Mycelic Slipspawn as the back tank sustained by three Triage monsters (Uloth Dhampir, Queen Mycelia and Spirit Hoarder). Since the Briar Patch ruleset is also active, bringing melee here is a total suicide.
