Aniya Day-Garrett was abused by her mother, (Sierra Day) over the course of 4 years. After Aniya's daycare teacher noticed bruises and head fractures on the child's head, she reported the child abuse to CPS (Child Protective Services) multiple times in which they decided to throw the case out. The father had been trying to gain full custody of his daughter, and has reported child neglect/abuse as well in which CPS & the Police department failed to comply. He was scheduled to meet with Aniya's mother and a case worker the following week. Unfortunately Aniya was murdered before then. (Sierra Day, & her boyfriend) are responsible for the death of the 4-year old. When medics arrived, the toddler was found unresponsive. It was reported that Aniya had been beaten, burned, & starved to death before passing. The system failed her. My heart aches for this young man and his daughter. 😰💔 this is a developing story. #JusticeForAniya #ChildAbuseAwareness
