Barbacoa
Delicious, stupendous, tastes great - always thought it sounded like a pirate's name tho
Almost obviously it's the ancestor of the word "barbecue", but APPARENTLY this style of cooking (barbacoa in Spanish; boucan in French) ALSO gave rise to the term buccaneer - AKA PIRATE !!!
