CHOCOLATE HILLS 💩 (BOHOL)

Chocolate Hills in Bohol is very famous not only here in the Philippines but also in the whole wide world.

The hills turn brown when it's dry season and green when the grass over the hills started to grow during the wet season. It has at least 1260 hills popping around the area.

It was one and a half-hour drive from our hotel to Chocolate hills. But, as we followed Google Maps. The pin location was not on the right track. We spent like another 40 minutes driving somewhere far beyond Chocolate hills. It's quite frustrating when Google Maps doesn't update. Luckily, some people helped us and pin the right location for our destination. We got so worried since it's been raining the whole time since we arrived in Bohol.

We just cross our fingers and hope that as we drive around the sky will clear up and we're able to see the hills at sunset time.

As we arrived. We have to register ourselves online and scan some QR codes as a tourist. It still raining when we arrived and we stayed a bit in the tourist information centre and have some chitchat with the people there who are amazingly awesome and very accommodating.

We also asked if we could fly our drone. Which they said yes! Flying drones is not allowed after 8 a.m. as their policy. And when there's people or cars around the area. Luckily, the rain saves us that there's no other visitors at that time.

We pay 100 pesos each to climb to the top of one of the hills to be able to see the 360-degree view of the thousands of hills.

It took maybe over a hundred steps to be up into the hill but it's worth it. Worth every step.

The mist over the hills welcomed us as the sky slowly cleared up.

It looks like a kisses chocolate. It's just perfect from any angle.

Then a group of family and a young couple came.

Can't take my eyes off watching this one of the wonders of the world. Nature truly works wonders.

Can't imagine visiting it when it's sunny time and observing the hills on a sunny day.

The beautiful cosmos flower blossomed around. Adding the beauty of the hills.

I think there's also the advantage of visiting it when it's rainy since there will be fewer tourists, crowds and you can truly feel the connection between you and nature itself.

The silence while watching it. Seeing the clouds emerging over from one hill to another. Hearing the birds noises. And even the sound of the wind from the top hill. What an amazing view and experience.

The golden hour and the mist as it collides over the hills.

I will be back and visit these amazing hills again next time.
