TRHS Night Experience
Hello, my dear Hivers!
Today, I’ll be sharing the continuation of my previous blog.
So, while we were having our meal at Oneness , my mother suddenly called to ask what time we were going home since my brother , who was one of the “Misters,” had their TRHS Night at 8:00 PM. Around 7:20 PM, we were still in Bogo City. When Mama told us that , we immediately rushed and decided to take a tricycle going to the bus stop.
A few minutes later , we arrived at the bus stop but there was no bus waiting. Around that time , it’s really hard to catch one since the last trip is at 8:00 PM. Luckily , a V-hire (van for hire) passed by , so we hopped in to save time and make it to the event faster.
The venue for the TRHS Night was at the sports complex , so when we arrived , we didn’t even stop by our house to change clothes. We went straight there. When we got inside , we saw my brother already sitting near the stage , looking quite nervous but focused. Fortunately , we also found some vacant seats nearby.
There were quite a lot of people inside , mostly students , of course , and the atmosphere was full of excitement. The event featured a dance contest , and it was such a fun sight to watch! The contestants gave their best , each group with their own creative choreography, colorful costumes, and high energy. You could really feel the school spirit and joy from the crowd cheering for their favorites.
A little later , my mother finally caught up with us and sat beside me.
Fastforward to the highlight of the night , when the names of the Mister and Miss candidates were called, the guardians were asked to come forward to pin the sashes. At first , I thought my brother had already noticed that we were there , but Mama told me he hadn’t. He seemed restless and kept looking around.
When the host finally called for the guardians to come up , we approached the stage , and he looked completely shocked to see us. He was sweating a lot (probably from nerves and excitement) , and since his phone was already low on battery , we handed him a power bank and a handkerchief to wipe his sweat. He looked so happy and relieved to see us there supporting him.
After pinning the sash , we went back to our seats , and the program continued with more dance performances from the students. Everyone was having such a great time , and the night ended on a joyful note.
That’s all for today’s blog , my dear Hivers!
