Juan Valdez Coffee The Pride of Colombia
Juan Valdez Coffee The Pride of Colombia
For a coffee lover like me, it was impossible to visit Colombia without bringing back a sample of one of the most famous coffees in the world, since, according to many experts, Juan Valdez is a brand that reflects excellence, quality, and good taste, to such an extent that it has become the pride of an entire nation.

I must admit that Colombia is at the forefront of coffee production in the region. They also have a wide variety of flavors and presentations, among which instant coffee packets stand out, as they have become an everyday and practical tool that saves us time and allows us to continue enjoying a truly exquisite flavor.
This brand of coffee is quite expensive, but I found these 10 g sachets that are enough for about six servings. Their incredible price was half a dollar, and best of all, it is classic Juan Valdez freeze-dried instant coffee, made from 100% Arabica beans, sourced from Colombia, and with the exquisite flavor of the Andean mountains.
As always, I decided to follow the manufacturer's instructions to the letter in order to taste the recommended flavor and thus be able to determine, according to my criteria, the characteristics and details that identify it. For this reason, we started by boiling a cup of water in a small pot over high heat, and while everything was getting ready, I opened my packet and immediately noticed an incredible aroma.
Once the water was boiling, I looked for my cup and, as the instructions indicate, used a small spoon to scoop out a full measure of coffee and place it inside the cup. I was struck by the fact that this product did not come in powder form, but rather as irregularly shaped crushed beans, which dissolve instantly upon contact with water.
Next, I poured the boiling water over the coffee, and immediately an incredible aroma was released, with a great intensity that went hand in hand with a strong color and great personality. In this case, I added three teaspoons of sugar, stirred gently, and could instantly perceive the magic of instant coffee coming to life.
I couldn't pass up the opportunity to try this product for the first time without the accompaniment of a delicious Andean pancake, which is characterized by its incredible sweetness, high quality, fluffiness, and interesting flavors.
Returning to the subject of coffee, I must tell you that when I took the first sip, I realized that it was a fairly strong coffee, somewhat bitter, but at the same time really delicious, which for a moment allowed me to dream of the pride and greatness of the neighboring country, which sees this product as its spearhead for entering international markets. Undoubtedly, coffee has a different flavor depending on the area where the beans are grown. I have noticed that in the Andean region, the bitter flavor predominates above all else, while when we cross the border into Venezuela and approach the center of the country, the notes become somewhat sweeter and even the aroma changes completely.
All coffees have something special, and I am very happy to have had the opportunity to flirt with this renowned brand. This time it was the classic flavored instant coffee, but I am totally sure that in the future I will be able to navigate among other aromas and flavors, which I am sure I will also fall in love with, since coffee in general is a drink that embodies the characteristics of natural perfection.
