Happy International Coffee Day

Happy International Coffee Day

As has been the tradition since 2015, every October 1st we celebrate International Coffee Day, a date that not only allows us to highlight and congratulate the work of coffee farmers, but also shows us that this beverage has captivated the palates of many generations, gaining global relevance and becoming part of the culture and tradition of many societies.

According to many studies conducted today, we can determine that coffee comes from a small corner of the African continent and from there has spread throughout the world, be coming a universal beverage with its own characteristics depending on the region where we are located. Therefore, we could say that over the years, coffee has been customized according to the region where it has been grown, thus achieving an endless variety of flavors, aromas, and colors, which are perfectly suited to the tastes of a human society characterized by its diversity.

As a good Venezuelan and lover of national coffee, I couldn't pass up this opportunity and had to make myself a nice cup of this beverage today to celebrate this super special day in style. For those who don't know, Venezuela, although not one of the world's major coffee producers and exporters, has enormous potential in its land and a variety of coffee that easily competes with global standards.

Venezuela has a privileged climate, large tracts of fertile land, and hundreds of men and women who go out to the fields every day to harvest the best beans so that Venezuelan consumers can enjoy a product of the highest quality. We can choose between different levels of roast, aromas, and flavors.

Coffee has become an inherent part of my life, as it is a drink that has been with me for as long as I can remember. In my country, it can be served at parties, work meetings, business meetings, funerals, birthdays, baptisms, and on rainy days, on quiet or busy afternoons. In short, it is an elixir capable of balancing emotions and at the same time restoring energy. A good coffee has no time or date on the calendar, as it is received with joy and enthusiasm at any moment in life.

Today we not only celebrate coffee as a product, the producers, and the industries dedicated to this sector, but it is also the day of the consumers, those of us who give meaning to the market and who, regardless of the circumstances, sit down on this beautiful afternoon of October 1st to enjoy a cup of good Andean coffee, accompanied by a traditional pastry, while we reflect on how special and wonderful life is.
