Green Velvet
Just outside Glenwood Springs Colorado, lush new growth is reclaiming this area which burned eight years before this photo was taken as the Coal Seam fire quickly swept through here burning everything in it's path including many homes. The fire started from within an abandoned coal mine which got away. It's beautiful to see life coming back in such a robust fashion.
This image was shot on film during June of 2010.
