This is a "Borneo traditional mat". Local people called this as "Tikar" and the process of making this mat is called weaving, or in local language, we know this activity as "Nganyam".

The basic material used in the manufacture of this traditional mat is Ronsa plant, which is a plant that has a relatively long stem that ranges from 1 to 2 meters and has a hollow texture.
Before use, these plants must be dried for one week, until they are completely dry and flat.

The "Nganyam" process is do by weaving the dried Ronsa plants crosswise with each other. In this picture, I will not only focus on the manufacturing process, but will also show the details of the mat. look how cool the woven mat is with its lines.
