Creating a Design for Hive Business Card

" My Hive Business Card Design "

Hello Hiver's around the world, this intoy.bugoy@intoy.bugoy again on your screen. Hoping you have a good day today. For this blog, I will present to you my design entry for Hive Business Card Design Contest initiated by acidyo@acidyo.

Two days ago, he posted a blog on regards this contest with some specific rules and criteria. The blog's intentions are not only to showcase the artistic side of everyone but also to promote around the world how amazing a Hive Web 3 Blockchain is, and one thing I like about this contest is, It also promotes specific communities in a certain country. This kind of initiative only proves that we are connected and linked with everyone.

Disclaimer guys, Im not a pro graphic or graphic artists but I like to design and participate a contest like this. So, don't expect to high guyss, okay 😅.

Design Process

Front Design

In the front where the design should be hive related only, the backdrop color of my designed hive business card that I choose is gradient color with a shade of black and red which are dominant and most used colors in the community. After, I layer up with something that symbolizes a blockchain and connected with each other.

Then, I add up the logo of Hive on the right side of the card. The logo is from the Hive Brand Assets, you can visit this link to see logos, templates, and more about the hive. There are a lot of them that you may use for your blogs.

Afterward, I place the title of the Hive business Card and the invitational message "Be one of Us" together with the Qr code generated through QRCode Monkey, encrypted with a link of hiveonboard.com. (Thanks to demotry@demotry for sharing this)

For the final touch I add up on the lower left side of the blog the hive.io or the info@hive.io to learn more about Hive blockchain.

Back Design

The Back design should be something relatable to a certain community or country (Glad on this part acidyo@acidyo used hiveph@hiveph as a test run for a community). This could be a big help to uplift and promote the Filipino Community

On the back design, I also used the same backdrop color on the front side and place the symbol of the hive in the same location. The difference here now is I add up a bee hive printed with an image of the Philippine Eagle that will symbolize the country of the Philippines.

Little Information

The Philippine eagle (Pithecophaga jefferyi ), also known as the monkey-eating eagle or great Philippine eagle, is a critically endangered species of eagle of the family Accipitridae which is endemic to forests in the Philippines. It has brown and white-colored plumage, a shaggy crest, and generally measures 86 to 102 cm (2.82 to 3.35 ft) in length and weighs 4.04 to 8.0 kg (8.9 to 17.6 lb).. It also consider as the National bird of the Philippines. Source

Then I place the Hivephilippines community logo and its name on the upper right section of the card. I get the logo in its Twitter Profile official account. I also match the color of the name on a bee hive.

Afterward, I add up the Qr code generated through QRCode Monkey that is linked to the Discord Group channel of the Hive Philippines Community. The discord group is made to help out every Filipino community inside the hive blockchain.

I also add up below the other social media of the Hive Philippines community. You can also visit them to know more about our fun and exciting activities inside the Community of the Hive Philippines.

I used the PixelLab Application for android in designing this Hive Business Card. I downloaded it on my phone. It is a friendly user even if you are a newbie or didn't have experience in graphic design. It has a lot of design feature that will help you create a masterpiece like this Hive Business Card of Mine.
