Your Votes At Work: Bathroom finished!

Behold! The after photo.

It's so lovely and smooth and not falling apart any time in a hurry. The pillar is a false wall around the downpipe that can be easily removed if an emergency happens. Which I doubt should occur any time within the next pair of decades. I was very much tempted to give y'all this photo as an after shot:

I figure the rubbish bin will fit on the left and the laundry basket should be able to scooch in on the right. Once they're acquired of course. I'll get that done the next time I venture out for groceries.

Sharp eyes will note that we now have the fancy tiles on the back wall. That's because they were all I could find at the time, and I had little to care about the look when I favoured the results. Those results being - no sinks falling on my family.

Pippi was just as anxious to have the new sink to sit on as I was to have it to wash in.

She most definitely approves of the new stability.

For those keeping financial score, it was three figures for the stuff, three figures for the tradie to put the vanity in, and another three figures to do all the plumbing. A total of four figures all up, but still less than two thirds of our original estimate.
