Sony is never far from the new technology and its introduction on a new subject is still very much watched. Sony explains:

"This smart card type wallet is small, portable and useful, unlike existing hardware wallets that connect to PCs via USB. In addition, it is possible to securely generate and store a private key with a highly reliable inviolable module in the smart card. "
