Singing Voice Week 45 - Darah Muda (Acoustic Rock Cover) by IndoBers

Hello, PukuBrothers and PukuSisters, back again with us, IndonesiaBeesatu. We are a Punk Rock band from Medan, Indonesia. Today we are back in the #pukumundo community built by Mr. Hive account@nahupuku and Mrs. Hive account@orimusic who has worked hard to create a music space for lovers of Rock, Metal, Punk and the like. It is things like this that we continue to appreciate.

At Singing Voice, which has entered its 45th week, we are bringing a cover of a song entitled "Darah Muda" In English it is "Young Blood" which was written by Rhoma Irama in the 1980s. Rhoma Irama is a musician and preacher from Indonesia who created the Dangdut music genre, so he is known as the Dangdut King. Every song he writes is a message to do good. So, he preaches through the music and songs he writes.

We brought this song because it was inspired by the melodic punk band from Jogjakarta, namely Endank Soekamti, who also covered this song with its punk version. So, we also tried to cover this song in an acoustic rock version with basic chords that are simple and easy to play. In this video content, there are only three of us playing because our drummer is working out of town.

This song gives a message to youth and teenagers to think before they act. We have all gone through the teenage phase. When we are teenagers, our ego is so big that we feel right and think that those who are opposite us are wrong. As a result, fights and bad things can happen because of the big ego. Even so, it can be a valuable lesson in our lives. From that experience, we can advise previous generations.

Youth is a time of fiery enthusiasm. When we were teenagers, we had strong ambitions, we felt capable of doing anything. However, if this strong ambition is accompanied by a large ego, the result will be an oppressive dictatorship. An example is seniors at schools and colleges. Even on the streets, teenagers who drive often speed at high speeds without thinking about the safety of others. That's why this song was written to give a message to teenagers to be careful in their actions.
