Freedive Moalboal | An unexpected fun dive with my dance partner!

Alas, mermaids! I just came in from our freediving session in Moalboal yesterday! Four months after Typhoon Odette, we were finally able to visit what I used to call our "Happy Place". This escapade was actually unintended! My dance partner "Ziv" from the Afro-Latin dance classes I attended just recently graduated from his freediving introduction course.

I couldn't be any more proud of him for embarking on this new passion. He got so excited that he impulsively bought his fins and mask just a day before our trip. And what better way to have a test run on his new gears than to go for a fun dive! So I organized a very sudden trip the next day as per his request! That is the reason why this video is not about me but his amazing feat yesterday at Moalboal.

If you are wondering how the beautiful corals and marine life is at Moalboal after that life-changing Typhoon... Unfortunately, the beautiful underwater world is gone. There were still turtles, a few corals, and the sardines but there were also a lot of trashes, metal sheet roofing underwater, and jellyfishes! The whole current situation was so sad to witness and yet I am hoping that in 50 years' time eventually the corals and marine life would soon come back to life.
