Malahayati Port, Aceh
Malahayati Port Aceh Besar is located in Krueng Raya area, about 35 Km from Banda Aceh City, Aceh Province, Indonesia.
Previously Malahayati Harbor is often used by the community to cross to Sabang City (Pulau Weh), but now its ferry port has switched to the port of Ulee Lheu.
The Malahayati port is actually an international port, but not many ships dock at this port.
Krueng Raya itself is included in the province of Aceh with the worst damage due to the 2004 Tsunami.
The port name was taken from the name of one of Indonesia's heroes, Admiral Malahayati, the world's first female marine admiral. He is the famous warlord of the Sultanate of Aceh thanks to his courage against the navy fleet of Dutch and Portuguese 16th century AD
Hopefully the future of Malahayati port is progressing, growing rapidly and famous to the world like the owner of the name.
