Smoky Mountains - Mt Leconte

I went on vacation with my significant other and went a little over my head. We had a trail all planned out and ready to go. It was 3 miles long. However, a year ago, thearea had received some wild fires that left destroyed that path. So we are in the middle of the Smokies with no connection to search a different trail. We decided that we should do the next available trail that we see. We started on the trail and turned a 3 hour trip into a 7 hour hike. We walked approximately 13.5 miles. Our trophy was the view!
