March 8, 1971: Changing winds
After the speech of Bangabandhu the previous day, the air condition has changed. The air was thick with confidence songs.
Before highlighting self-reliance, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman specifically spoke on the Race Course Maidan (now Suhrawardy Udyan), the President's speech changed the way of progress of the nation.
On March 8, the radio station in Dhaka began convey at 8:30am through airing Bangabandhu's Race Course Maidan talk. Diverse stations in the then East Pakistan ran with a similar example.

In Britain, seas isolated, pretty much 10,000 Bangalees gathered before the Pakistani High commission in London asking for a free Bangladesh.
Back home, in Rajshahi, the military constrained a period restriction starting from 9:00pm for an uncertain period. This decision was respected amazing and the military was urged to pull back the check in time.
Before long, the general secretary of Awami League rubbished a press note released by the military specialists. The declaration said the note gave a gross and wrong depiction of events, intentionally cutting down the amount of standard native mishaps in the midst of the advancement.
In Islamabad, People Party Chairman ZA Bhutto declined to make a comment about the conditions Bangabandhu had given to join the session of the National Assembly on March 25.
