My computer turns on but there is no image on the screen

In this life, we have to learn everything—even if we don’t like it or are afraid to try. Sometimes it’s hard, but we have to give it a shot, especially if it’s for our own good. And now that we have access to technology and social media, all the more reason to take advantage of it. Because even though many people find it hard to admit, we tend to learn more from YouTube or TikTok videos than from taking courses or studying.
I recently had another problem with my computer, right on my birthday. My computer just decided it didn’t want to turn on. For a moment I got frustrated and said, “It’s always me and Pato Lucas—things just happen to me, man.” However, I tried to stay calm; it was my birthday, and I had to have a good time, so I let it go and relied on my old PC, but guess what? It didn’t want to cooperate either.
Oh well, I took a deep breath, stayed calm, trying to do what I could on my phone, which is also on its last legs, hahaha, but anyway, yesterday I met up with a friend; he always supports me in these situations—he knows about computers and stuff. We thought it might be the power supply, so he lent me one to test.
I did it, but guess what? Nothing. The computer wouldn’t do a thing. I unplugged everything, pulled out the cables—it was a pain to reconnect the power supply; that ATX cable is really tough—but still, nothing. The screen wouldn’t turn on.
I said, “I’ll try again tomorrow when I’m calmer,” because something was going on there, but we didn’t know what. Everything pointed to it not being the power supply.
Well, I’m no expert in this area—I know I should be, but as they say, you learn by making mistakes, and by watching YouTube videos too, hehehe. So I decided to take their advice, took everything out, even the graphics card, which I cleaned with an eraser using that old trick. The thing is, when I did that—guess what?—here I am writing this from my PC; the computer turned on.
Honestly, I don’t know what it could have been. My friend says it might have been that—that it got full of dust and got stuck. Anyway, I hope and pray that was all it was, and that from now on it works normally and lets me get my work done.
Has this ever happened to you? What do you think it could have been? I’d love to hear your thoughts.
