Education is not preparation for life, education is life itself.

We all know that the country of the rising sun has all of the essential needs and facilities for all of its citizens. The most essential concern in the Japanese administrative system is education.

Education is compulsory in Japan at the primary and lower secondary levels. Most students attend public schools until junior high, while private education is prevalent in high school and university. The Japanese education system was critical to Japan's recovery and strong economic expansion in the decades following World War II.

Children in Japan are taught a subject called "The Road to Morality" from elementary school up to sixth grade, where they are instilled with moral principles and decent culture, as well as how to cope with people.

To maintain health at an early age, Japanese schoolchildren bring their own toothbrushes to school and clean their teeth after every meal.

Even though they were a little shy, I had opportunity for creating friends with students who had just gotten out of class when I visited Osaka. I understand that students are not encouraged to chat to strangers or persons they do not know.
