A Good Healing Combination for Any Beginning in Splinterlands
đ English Version
Originally, this post was meant for the previous community challenge to share a straightforward strategy in Splinterlands. But to avoid letting it go to waste, Iâm sharing it for this weekâs social challenge instead. Itâs all about an interesting healing setup, taking advantage of Tank Heal and Triage abilities to hold strong and make that strategic play in battles that, at first glance, might not even look that promising. Of course, this setup is ideal for any beginner wanting to start their lineup.
The goal here is to keep your frontline alive as long as possible, even when opponents are going full force.
Well, it might not work completely against large numbers of magic attackers, so it really depends on who your frontline is.
Rather than betting on high-attack creatures, the strategy revolves around creatures with healing abilities that can take a beating. Anyone whoâs played a few rounds knows that Triage, which heals creatures in the back with the lowest health percentage in battle, is a blessing in matches where you need continuous support. With Tank Heal covering the tank and Triage ensuring others can handle the residual damage, this strategy forms a solid, sustainable defense.
Now, let me introduce the cards that have become my go-to choices for this healing setup.
Merdaali Guardian (3 Mana)
Iâll start with Merdaali Guardian, a must-have card if youâre exploring an effective, budget-friendly healing strategy. It has a low mana cost (only 3) and is a true support unit on the field with its Tank Heal ability. It may not have an attack, but its mission here is different: to keep the frontline tank standing. With a speed of 2 and 3 health points, itâs not the most durable creature, but while itâs around, it ensures constant recovery for the tank.
Iâve used Merdaali Guardian in many matches, and even though it seems like a fragile card, its impact is huge. Especially when you combine it with another creature that adds some kind of attack to the setup.
Spirit Hoarder (3 Mana)
The Spirit Hoarder is the kind of card that surprises with its Triage ability. This ability heals other creatures that arenât in the front line, creating surprising resilience for your support units and even your attacking units in the back. With only 3 mana, it fits perfectly into low to medium-cost setups. It also has a magic attack of 1, so it brings a bit of damage to the table, even if thatâs not its strong point.
Despite its low speed of just 1, Spirit Hoarder is a lifesaver to keep healing balanced. Iâve lost count of how many times it kept other creatures in the game long enough to turn things around.
Meriput Magician (5 Mana)
Now, letâs move on to Meriput Magician, which brings a unique touch to this lineup. Itâs more expensive in terms of mana, costing 5, but adds the best in terms of surviving the following rounds since it has 5 health points.
To use it, youâll need the summoner Prunda Undervesch because, unlike the others, itâs not part of the water element set or a neutral card.
Remember, youâll need the summoner Prunda Undervesch or any other that combines Water + Light elements. Another option could be Elias Max Pruitt.
For this strategy to work, itâs important to have a frontliner with good resistance, meaning someone with enough health and armor to last at least one round. Thereâs no point in setting up a fragile tank because even the strongest healing canât perform miracles if the frontline falls before the support round. In many cases, I go with a creature with reasonable resistance.
This time, I used Baakjira, which fits well with its 11 health points, and its abilities give it solid protection against magic attacks.
Another option to increase your chances of winning is adding creatures like Moxian Rebel, with its Weapons Training ability, which grants magic attack to nearby allies with no attack of their own. Just donât make my mistake I forgot to arrange the order properly and missed out on this boost.
