Minting BAB Token

If you are a Binance user and KYC verified, you have the option to mint a so-called BAB (Binance Account Bound) Token which according to the introduction, will serve as a credential or digital identification of Binance users who have completed the identity verification or KYC. It says on the message notification that it entitles those who have it exclusive benefits from 14 projects on the Binance Chain.

It indicated further that it is the first-ever Soulbound Token (SBT) built on BNB Chain. It represents a person's identity on a blockchain. It has no monetary value, non-transferable, it cannot be sent to another address and it can be revoked by the token issuer.

How to Mint Your BAB Token

This process is for the already KYC-verified users

• Go to the Binance Mobile App (homepage) and click on the "More" menu which will direct you to Services

  

• Scroll down to Gift & Campaign and click on BABT
  

• Here are the things you are required to do, the first one is already done so you will proceed to Connect Wallet. It can be Trust Wallet or Binance Wallet.

  

  On this example I used Trust Wallet on BNB Chain.

  

• After successfully connecting, it will require you to sign a message on your wallet.

  

  It sends a signature request. Check the details and if everything is correct, click on SIGN.

  

• Then it's time to mint or get your BAB Token. It will charge you 1 BUSD (gas fee) which will be debited from your Binance account. It took the payment from my BNB balance.

  

  

• And you're done! If you've not set a Pay PIN (like myself), it will ask you to do so.
  

  

  It will also require you to activate your Biometrics.

  

• And after completing the Biometrics, it will bring you to this page where it confirms that your BAB Token has been sent to your connected wallet.

  

• Clicking on View Details will pull up your BAB Token details.

  

And that's it. You can then view your minted BAB Token on your BSC wallet. You also have the option to revoke the token if you wish to change the wallet address but you will need to wait for 72 hours before you can mint again.
