Chooseday Thoughts : Remembering Mom with Love | Alive and Thriving Yr3

#AliveAndThriving for my Chooseday thoughts series. What did you choose to be / to do today?

Today we chose to remember Mom with love. I don't want her to be sad, so we won't be. We had arranged the flower shop at the columbary to set up a flower arrangement for Mom today. It's her first death anniversary. I remember all the feelings I had then. All too well. But I no longer want to feel sad. After all, as each day passes, we get to realize that Mom is indeed in a far better place. We do not need to worry about her anymore.

We ordered a strawberry cake to honor Mom. She would have loved to have a bite or two. Of course, when she was alive, she couldn't unless it's sugar-free. She had type 2 diabetes. For all we know, she could already enjoy all that she wanted to eat and drink. 🤓🤓 so many changes within a year. I'm pretty sure there will be more. Let's just take things as they come. I want to believe that all will be well... 🙏🏼🙏🏼
