My Introduction to Hive - A Chess Coach & Tech Expert
Hello Hive Community, I am new here and would like to say thanks to my pal Sammie @samostically for introducing me to the Hive family ☺
ABOUT MYSELF
My name is Michael and I am currently a manager at Danhypro Chess Academy and also part of the administrative team, chess in slums Africa with Tunde Onakoya who happens to be the convener of the program.
Prior taking up chess full time, I used to be a tech expert on EDMS solutions, disaster recovery and business continuity, where I managed a couple of projects with prestigious firms such as Uba Metropolitan, Alcatel Lucent, Globalscan security systems, Central securities clearing systems and African alliance insurance, to mention a few.
I hold an associates degree in information systems security and also I love troubleshooting and fixing computers too 😉.
CHESS/LIFE
I found out about the game of chess in 1997 in school as I was a member of the JETS club. I really did not play the game as much as I would have loved to because time ascribed for club activities back then in school was pretty just one Hour.
Fast forward to date, chess is practically my life as I now partner with a lot of my friends in using chess as an educational resource to facilitate learning process both for kids and adults.
Asides chess, I love art and poetry and when I am not playing chess, I often write or seek out beautiful artwork 😍
HIVE
@samostically has explained how Hive works and has urged me to be myself and explore as much as I can. To be honest, alot of things seem complicated. I wanted to make just a video introduction but he also urged me to write.
I hope you enjoy both my video and my written words.
