The lost house cat🥲🤦
It’s been two days now, and honestly, I’m starting to miss my mum's cat (as we usually call him) more than I expected.
It all started yesterday afternoon when my mum suddenly asked, if anyone has seen the cat today, That’s when we realized we hadn’t heard his usual cries or seen him all day. Normally, he’s always around, especially when someone is eating, he would start meowing so loud just to get food, and honestly, it used to annoy all of us, especially me.
Funny enough, I’ve never really liked the cat fully, I don’t know why. Sometimes I liked him, especially when he would come close and rub his body on my legs playfully. He always did that, brush his body against me like he owned me or something. Then other times, I’d just find him too loud and petty. He always wanted attention, and if he didn’t get it, he’d cry and cry. I called it being petty, because he would act like the world ended just because someone ignored him.
But now that he’s been gone for two days, I can’t lie, I miss him. I miss all his noise, I miss how he’d quietly enter a room to lay on the bed comfortably and suddenly rub himself on my legs, almost like reminding me saying, Don’t forget me, I’m still here😄. I miss seeing him stretch on the floor or look at us with that proud cat face like we were his guests in his house.
The house feels strange without him. Too quiet, too empty, that even my mum, who always made sure he was fed, is clearly sad. She’s been calling out to him, hoping he’d come back. And me? I keep looking at the door, hoping maybe I’ll see him walk in like nothing happened.
I hope he’s safe wherever he is. I pray someone kind has him or that he finds his way back. I never thought I’d miss a cat this much, especially one I didn’t even like all the time. But his absence is louder than his presence ever was.
Come home, my little guy🤦,
I miss you, we all do.
