교장 선생님 (A principal)

그는 교장입니다. 82세인 그는 이제는 은퇴했지만 평생을 타지키스탄의 한 학교에서 일을 했습니다. 그는 그의 제자들이 자라서 결혼을 하고 아이를 낳고 다시 그 아이들이 그의 제자가 되는 것을 수없이 보아왔죠. 그는 내게 많은 마을 사람들이 자신의 자식들이라고 조용히 웃으며 말을 했습니다. 그리고 그의 제자들도 그를 또 다른 아버지나 할아버지라 말하며 내게 소개시켜주었습니다.

He's the principal. He is 82 years old and now retired, but has worked his entire life at a school in Tajikistan. He has watched many of his students grow up, get married, have children, and their sons and daughters become his students again. He told me quietly, smiling that many the village people were his sons and daughters. And when his students introduced him to me, they also said he is another father or grandfather of them.
