Mining the Moon- We Could Begin Doing so in 5-Years

In what is an amazing discovery, satellite probes that passed over the moon have discovered the surface of the moon has a concentration of useful metals. The Moon has deposits of iron and titanium, and

President Trump has taken an interest in space domination, and this is an example of a viable interstellar mining operation. Politically, this is a power move, and will motivate international cooperation.

Will we be mining the Moon in 2025? As far fetched as this seems, it could happen. Companies including SpaceX are pursuing reusable rocket engines, pods and boosters. The mining would need to be largely automated, and technology including space elevators could come into play.

The lessons we learn on the Moon could be adapted to asteroids or dwarf planets. We could target other Moons in our Solar System as well.
