Sometimes I ask myself whether artists are as necessary as those who buy art.
I know a few artists, and I see how hard it is, and how thankless the work can be.
You really have to be a little insane to keep going, to keep trying, to keep crashing your head against everything - constantly.
It’s a lot of blood and exhaustion.
A creative profession is for crazy people.
Sometimes I look at rich people who buy paintings, who buy art, and I realize that I would very much like to become like that.
I don’t yet know how I will make money, but in the future, I would like to have a lot of things.
I would like to buy art, live in a large house with my husband and a dog, maybe with children.
Have some hobbies of my own, go to restaurants, be successful.
But the moment I picture this person, I realize that I will never become her—and that’s very upsetting.
