I Like the Yellowed Pages
I find myself reading books that smell a little like the past. Their pages are soft, worn in the corners, like me. I used to feel pressure to keep up with what's new, but now I find comfort in voices that came before.
Old books are slower. They don’t shout at you. They invite you to sit down and stay awhile. Like me now. I used to rush to be ahead. Now I just want to understand.
