Gratitude journaling

I'm so ready for this Thanksgiving holiday. The end of the year holidays are the only time I take off work all year long and I'm in need of the break. I've got my cozy reading socks, my yoga pants, my messy bun, and slow paced days planned.
And I'm so grateful to be able to take time off. Which got me thinking about gratitude journaling. There are many about how expressing gratitude can improve your mood, reduce stress, and change your brain. One study found greater neural sensitivity in the area of the brain associated with learning and decision making with regular expressions of gratitude.
I normally journal like I'm talking to my best friend over coffee or drinks. There's alot of what I've been doing, complaining, future plans, and gossip. But I don't write any gratitudes on a regular basis. Which is crazy since I have so much to be grateful for.
So I'm making a corner of each journal entry dedicated to what I'm thankful for that day.
Today's Thanks:
