Future Business Tech

I came across this interesting YouTube channel today:

Currently the Future Business Tech channel has around 19,000 subscribers after being up for around eight months. Last July the channel posted "Top 10 Social Media Trends in 2022"; other videos discuss NFTs, the metaverse, and artificial intelligence so some of the speculation is near-future. Other videos such as "The World in 2200: Top 10 Future Technologies" and "Virtual Reality (2030 – 10000): Timelapse Of Future Technologies" covers more far era transhumanist speculation.

So far I've watched half a dozen of the channel's videos and they are good. It's a very optimistic view of future trends. At the same time while watching these videos in the back of my mind I am aware that something like the 1859 Carrington Event could repeat itself. The more complex the system the more easily the system can fail and I hope as we're building the future we're also making plans for when it fails. Even without huge geomagnetic storms there are severe outages. There is a Wikipedia entry just for Google outages that have happened in the last few years.
