Afritunes #73 .. // African China - Our Government Bad (cover)

This is week #73 on Hive account@afri-tunes, I am Holler, and for this week I will be doing a cover of a song by a Nigerian artist named African China, The song is titled "Our Government is Bad ".

The song I chose for this week is written in Nigerian pidgin. I chose the song because it emphasized the fact that the government has nothing to offer the masses. The masses are suffering, people are dying and the Government has turned deaf ears to the people's cries.

We are in a Country where the poor masses are neglected, they walk miles in search of what to eat while the corrupt political / leaders jog miles to digest what they have eaten.

Here in my country, people do not eat three times a day, an average Nigerian eats at most twice a day. Funny enough you don't eat what you desire but consume what comes your way.

The embarrassing aspect is that the government uses taxation, one of its monetary policies to kill businesses run by some hard-working Nigerians. There is no provision for basic social amenities. Our leaders keep glamouring for power without an appropriate plan to move the country forward.

The only community used by most Nigerians for their day-to-day running of activities is now at a high price. How on earth will a Country that is rich in mineral resources still be among the poorest countries in the world? As I speak we buy fuel for nothing less than #650/700 per litre.

Here in my Country, our rights are always denied and you dare not be involved in any protest because if you do, you will have yourself to blame for such.

These are some of the reasons why you will most Nigerians are trying to leave the Country in search of greener pastures, our prayer and hope is that one day, we will all get to the promised land.
