Looking for a new place to find firewood in case of an emergency, which I found//Buscando un lugar nuevo dónde encontrar leña en caso de alguna eventualidad, el cuál encontré

Venezuela is a country where, despite everything, we still sometimes suffer from multiple social problems, but essentially the most serious is the distribution of domestic gas, which used to be done by private companies and is now done by the government itself through community councils. However, it takes a long time (2 months or even more), so there are times when we have to use methods like firewood. I had to go up the mountain and see where I could find some, because even though we have gas, we have to be prepared and keep some stored here at home.

Venezuela es un país en el cuál todavía a pesar de todo, nos encontramos a veces padeciendo de múltiples inconvenientes sociales pero esencialmente el más grave es la distribución del Gas Doméstico qué antes se hacía por la empresa privada y ahora lo hace el mismo gobierno a través de los consejos comunales pero la verdad que tarda un tiempo prolongado (2 meses ó hasta más) entonces hay ocasiones que debemos de utilizar algunos métodos cómo la leña así qué debía subir a la montaña y ver dónde encontrar ya qué aunque tenemos Gas hay que estar preparados y tener algunos guardados aquí en casa.

So this morning I went to a place that's relatively close, but very few people visit it because most of the plants there are thorny—very thorny—so you have to be very careful, or at least remove as many of them as possible. Luckily, I found several dry logs (future firewood), which, since I have time, I'll carry home little by little. Later I'll decide whether to take them whole or in pieces; it will depend on the situation, but I'll probably go with pieces. I'll gather them up tightly and tie them with twine to avoid any accidents.

Así que en horas de la mañana fuí hasta un lugar qué digamos es cerca pero muy pocos visitan ya qué en su mayoría las plantas qué están allí en ese sitio son de espinas muchas espinas así qué se debe tener mucho cuidado ó en tal caso retirar la mayor cantidad de ellas. Para mí fortuna encontré varios troncos ya secos (futura leña) los cuáles cómo tengo tiempo iré cargando de a poco para la casa aunque ya después elija entre llevarlo entero ó en trozos ahí si dependerá pero quizás sea en trozos los junto muy bien y amarro con una cabulla para no correr el riesgo de algún accidente.

Furthermore, extra care must be taken because the terrain is somewhat complicated since it is not flat but rather inclined, so you can imagine what it's like to go down with that weight.

Además ese cuidado se debe extremar ya que el terreno es algo complicado puesto que no es plano sino por el contrario es inclinado así que ya se imaginarán lo qué es bajar con ese peso.

I wanted to continue a little further and explore more possibilities for finding firewood when a tree branch fell across one of the paths, blocking my way. Since I hadn't brought any tools (like a machete) in case of an emergency, I had to turn back. Perhaps another time I could go through and see what I could find a little further on. Well, since I was alone, I didn't want to venture too far, so I decided to return. But now I know where to find firewood to take home and be prepared.

Quería seguir un poco más y observar más posibilidades de encontrar leña cuándo en uno de los caminos se había caído una rama de un árbol impidiendome el paso más fácil y cómo no había llevado ninguna herramienta (machete) por si acaso alguna eventualidad me tuve qué devolver para quizás en otra ocasión si poder pasar y hechar un vistazo para ver lo que podría conseguir un poco más allá, bueno también cómo estaba sólo no quería adentrarme mucho así qué opté por devolverme pero ya sé dónde encontrar leña para llevar a casa y estar preparado.
